1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of JobsFor.com.au (the “Site”), operated by JobsFor Australia (ABN 97 473 498 030) (“JobsFor”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account, browsing job listings, using the Business Directory, participating in the Employee Referral Program, or otherwise using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. Description of the Service
JobsFor is a local job board and business platform. Depending on the feature you use, the Service includes:
- Browsing and applying to job listings, including listings posted directly by employers and listings imported from third-party job sources (such as Adzuna), which are attributed to their original source.
- A Business Directory of local businesses, including both business-submitted profiles and profiles compiled from publicly available business information, which a business owner may claim.
- An Employee Referral Program allowing eligible users to refer candidates to employers and, where a referral results in a hire, become eligible for a referral reward under the rules of the specific referral program.
- Community forums organised by location and industry.
- Paid subscriptions and one-off purchases (job listing packages, Business Directory listings) processed through our payment providers.
3. Eligibility and Accounts
You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. JobsFor may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, provide false information, or are used fraudulently.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: post false, misleading, or discriminatory job listings or business information; misuse the referral program to generate fraudulent referrals or rewards; scrape, resell, or republish Site content without permission; harass other users; or use the Site for any unlawful purpose. JobsFor may remove content or restrict accounts that breach this section.
5. Job Listings
Employers are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the job listings they post, including compliance with applicable employment and anti-discrimination law. Listings sourced from third parties (including Adzuna) are provided for informational purposes; JobsFor is not the employer for those roles and applications for such listings may be directed to the original source.
6. Business Directory
Business Directory entries may be created from publicly available information before a business claims its listing. A business owner may request to claim and manage their listing following our verification process. Directory access, editable service areas, and related features may require an active paid subscription, as described on the relevant pricing page at the time of purchase.
7. Employee Referral Program
Referral rewards, where offered, are subject to the specific referral program’s own published rules (including any eligibility, resume-review, fraud-prevention, and maximum-referral conditions in place at the time), which form part of these Terms by reference. JobsFor does not guarantee that any referral will result in a hire or a reward. Reward amounts, timing, and payment method are as described in the applicable referral program and payout process at the time of the referral.
8. Payments and Subscriptions
Paid features (including Business Directory subscriptions and job listing packages) are billed as described at the point of purchase and processed through our third-party payment providers (including PayPal and Stripe). See our Refund and Returns Policy for refund terms. JobsFor does not store your full payment card details.
9. Reviews and Community Content
JobsFor does not publish fabricated reviews or ratings. Where community feedback features are available, they are moderated and may be limited to positive or neutral contributions rather than open-ended negative reviews, as described in the relevant feature at the time.
10. Intellectual Property
The Site, its design, and JobsFor-created content are owned by JobsFor or its licensors. Content you submit (job listings, business profiles, resumes, messages) remains yours, but you grant JobsFor a licence to display and process it for the purpose of operating the Service.
11. Third-Party Services
The Site integrates third-party services, which may include job data providers (such as Adzuna), payment processors, mapping services, and analytics providers, each governed by their own terms and privacy practices. See our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for details.
12. Disclaimers
The Site is provided “as is”. JobsFor does not guarantee employment outcomes, the accuracy of listings or business information, or that referral rewards will be paid in any specific timeframe. To the maximum extent permitted by law, JobsFor disclaims all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms or required by the Australian Consumer Law.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JobsFor’s liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid to JobsFor in the 12 months before the claim arose, except where liability cannot be limited under the Australian Consumer Law.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. JobsFor may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms or unlawful conduct.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
