JobsFor (“we”, “our”, or “us”) sells digital services on jobsfor.com.au — job listing packages, business directory listings and related services. Because everything we sell is a digital service, this policy deals with refunds of payments rather than a physical returns process: nothing is shipped, so nothing is returned. This policy explains when you are entitled to a refund and how to get one.
1. What this policy covers
This policy applies to purchases made through jobsfor.com.au, including:
- Job listing packages, such as the Single Job Posting, the Annual Pack, and the Labour Market Testing – 482 Visa package.
- Business Directory Listings.
- Any other paid service we offer (for example, project milestone payments).
Payments are processed by PayPal, Stripe, or bank transfer. All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD).
2. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Nothing in this policy removes or limits those rights.
If a service does not work or does not do what we said it would do:
- For a major problem — for example, the service is unsafe, is significantly different from what was described, or would not have been bought if the problem had been known — you are entitled to choose a full refund for the service, or to cancel the contract and receive a refund for the unused portion.
- For a minor problem, we will fix the problem within a reasonable time. If it is not fixed within a reasonable time, you are entitled to a refund or replacement.
Refunds you are entitled to under the ACL are free of charge and are paid within a reasonable time. Please keep your order confirmation or receipt — proof of purchase (such as your order number) is needed for any refund.
3. Our goodwill refund window (14 days)
On top of your ACL rights, we offer a 14-day goodwill refund window for digital purchases, based on common practice among Australian subscription and digital-service providers. If you change your mind, you may request a full refund of what you paid, provided:
- You request the refund within 14 calendar days of purchase.
- The service has not been used, meaning: no job listing has been published using a package credit, and no directory access window has been activated or used.
Refunds of unused digital purchases are paid back to the original payment method.
4. Cancellations
Business Directory Listings and job packages provide access for the period you purchased. Access is not set up to automatically renew and bill you — access is extended by purchasing again, and no subscription is silently renewed.
- To stop paying, simply do not purchase an extension or package again — no cancellation is needed for automatic billing because automatic renewals do not run.
- If you cancel a purchase within the 14-day goodwill window and the service is unused (see section 3), you will receive a full refund.
- If you cancel after the 14-day window and have paid for access in advance that has not yet been used, we may, at our discretion, refund the unused portion on a pro-rata basis (for example, where more than one full month of a prepaid period remains).
5. When we do not provide a refund
In line with the Australian Consumer Law and common practice among Australian subscription providers, we do not refund where:
- You have simply changed your mind and the 14-day goodwill window has passed.
- The service was delivered as described and you have used it (for example, a job listing has already been published or a package credit has been used).
- You misused the service in a way that caused the problem.
- Your account or service was suspended or terminated for breaching our Terms of Use.
If a refund is approved for a partially used package or listing, the refund amount reflects the unused portion only.
6. How to request a refund
- Email us at [email protected] with the subject line “Refund request”.
- Include your order number, the date of purchase, and a short explanation of the reason for your request. Proof of purchase (e.g. your receipt or order confirmation) is required.
- We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and tell you what happens next.
7. How refunds are paid
- Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method — the PayPal account, card, or other payment account used for the purchase.
- Refunds to cards or PayPal are typically processed within 5–10 business days of our confirmation.
- For purchases paid by bank transfer or where the original method no longer accepts refunds, the refund is paid by transfer to the bank account associated with your purchase.
- We do not refund to a different card, PayPal account, or other party than the one used for the original purchase.
8. Disputes
If you believe you are entitled to a refund under the Australian Consumer Law and we have declined your request, please contact us at [email protected] and explain the problem. We review every dispute case-by-case. Nothing in this policy limits your rights, and you may also seek advice from your state or territory consumer protection agency or the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the “Last Updated” date above. The version that applied at the time of your purchase governs your purchase.
